As part of producing a Neighbourhood Plan it is important that local residents give their views on the future of Martlesham
This process is in several stages -
1. Public meetings where residents are invited to come along and feed in their views and comments. (as of April 2014 we have held three such events - details are here). The comments that people made can be read here.
2. A full survey which will be sent to all households - this will take place later on in 2014.
3. And finally a referendum where residents will be able to vote yes or no to the final plan.
All this information is fed into the Planning Inspector who will review the plan and its supporting evidence. Only when the Inspector has signed off the Plan will it be brought into effect; it will be a legal document which will form part of the policies which affect planning decisions in Martlesham.
